Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding

“Emotional fuckwittage”

I think they did a fantastic job picking out the good parts and editing the not so great parts from the book for the movie. I love the movie and Bridget's character does come through in the book, she is still lovely silly Bridget, but just not from this time. The diet talk is really too much and there were some comments here and there that are really not okay to say anymore. But what bothered me the most was the whole plot and ending of the book. It's done so much better in the movie. Mark doesn't really come to justice. Daniel is supposed to be a terrible person, but in the book he is extra terrible and let's not even start on the mother.. The book really is a two star read, but just because of Bridget it gets an extra star.
