One of my favorite romances of the year - but just calling it a romance novel seems like shortchanging it. This is a layered novel telling the story of characters that are both loveable and messy. I normally don't love second-chance romance stories, but this one I can get behind. 

I'm also a sucker for anything set in NYC, as someone who lived there briefly and still finds it nostalgic.
