Star Wars: Darth Maul - Son of Dathomir by

4.0

Another solid work in the Star Wars universe. Its an adaptation of excess story lines from the Clone Wars so it was always going to be good quality (mainly because of Filoni doing what he does best) but this exceeded my expectations - especially compared to Bunn's Darth Maul comic series.

The storyline is great, the writing is alright, and the illustrations look good also. But what this does best is fill in on some more lore during the clone wars surrounding Maul, the Nightsisters, and the Sith. It really further fleshes out Maul's rivalry with Palpatine after the death of Osage. My only complaint is they didnt quite capture Maul's fear of Palpatine, which they did so perfevtly in the Clone Wars TV series.

Overall great read for Star Wars prequel era fans and decent for other Star Wars lovers
