4.5

Easily a 4.5 star read for me!! Wow, what a way to end this trilogy.

I appreciate how different this book is than the first two in this series. Cal is a totally different character with lots of depth. I really appreciated the way this book tackled addiction and how that impacts one’s life. I love how this book felt more centered around Cal’s growth rather than the relationship between him and Lana. While that still was central to the plot, it was refreshing to read about Cal’s personal journey and I felt more invested in that than the romance aspect.

I loved the single mom trope and how Alana was throughout the story. I think it was really special to read about and I loved her character!!

My reason for this not quite reaching 5 stars…it was SO GOD DAMN LONG LIKE ALMOST 600 PAGES HOLY HELL?? Normally I’d love that if I was super invested, but I felt like the story dragged at times unfortunately…

Even with my criticism I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I would absolutely recommend this trilogy to any romance lovers!!! This was a great ending to the series I grew attached to this past week. Lots of love to you Lauren Asher!!
