Love in the Wild: A Tarzan Retelling by Emma Castle

3.0

I hate this cover. Dear god it's so awful that I contemplated keeping it as far away from my Goodreads account as possible. This poor book is just truly held hostage by it, and so many people will fail to pick it up because of it.

Which is sad, cause it's actually a really thoughtful retelling.

You can tell that the author put a lot of work and research into ensuring that the setting was portrayed accurately and respectfully. This book takes all the fun and intriguing parts of the original Tarzan books and leaves behind the misogyny and racism.

If you're craving a more adult version of Tarzan after watching the Disney movie, this will definitely hit the spot.
