Take My Hand by Dolen Perkins-Valdez

5.0

I pre-ordered this book, never having read any book from this author previously but hooked by the blurb when Amazon sent me recommendations.

And did it hook me, loosely based off a true story Relf v Weinberger. It’s a story about reproductive injustices towards poor black women. I remembered reading that there are drugs that have been outlawed by the FDA but somehow find themselves on the African continent.
I loved the smooth flow of the story and how Civil showed up for the sisters. One of the best reads 2022.
