Diesel by Jeanne St. James

3.0

It's no secret that Jewel is looking to be an ol' lady. She was raised in the club and that is the life she wants. Diesel is the guy she wants. That's not really a secret either. Like Ivy, she can be a raging bitch to him but since I don't like Diesel this is fine with me. Bitch more. Asshole deserves it.
If only he didn't enjoy it so much.
Diesel is the club enforcer, doesn't want any woman regularly in his life and as I said, is an asshole. While I like the guys in the series a lot overall, hot alpha males etc... I find that they sometimes come across as so fragile in their masculinity, with all those rules they have about what a guy does. If you have to define manhood so rigidly you can't be a passenger while a woman drives you are not really a man at all IMO. Diesel is one of these.
Anyway he wants nothing to do with a regular woman but he's happy to keeping banging Jewel & then leaving her bed as long as she'll let him and because she is a woman in love she let him for far too long. Oh, he eventually has that "MINE!" epiphany the others have but I never got the sense of love from it, just possession.
The overall story with the rival gang & the club president is why there are 3 stars.
