Demon Flames by M.J. Haag, Becca Vincenza

These books are pretty short, like a slightly beefier novella. I'm enjoying them, but one of the main things that irk me are the side characters. They have no flavor, and no personality. They are just flat and always there. This entire book the two main characters almost never get any alone time, and are constantly surrounded by others. So you'd think we'd get to know a few of them right? I mean the author does introduce us to like 2 of them but even then they are all just blobs of gray surrounding the fully realized two main characters.

I'll be getting the next book because I'm already in this, but having to pay for these hurts a little because I know I'm never going to reread them. I've been far too spoiled with kindle unlimited allowing me to read so many amazing books for free and then returning them, that when I get to a series I'm kinda interested in/like, but I also have to pay for it Im like "mehhhhh, okay I guess"
