First, all proceeds from this book go to First Book - a nonprofit that provides new books and learning materials to disadvantaged children.
A collection of stories from the point of view of minor characters and behind-the-scenes characters that add to the story told in Empire Strikes Back. Some characters are known, others are waaaay behind the scenes like the runners, taunton carers, scientists and others. They do add to filling in the details on the worlds the events take place even if some don't relate directly to the action. The stories reveal characters that are involved in those worlds and aware of the politics and trends and inner lives of the observers and observed.
Of course, being by different authors, not all stories are equal, but I enjoyed all of them to different degrees.
