For the Love of the Bard by Jessica Martin

1.0

Almost DNF. This book is for the people who love Shakespeare and appreciate the (IMO overdone) nods to the plays. I thought I was that person…turns out I’m not. Also I’m sorry but where was the grovelling that I’m pretty sure most people were expecting from Adam. Bc like cmon…he was just forgiven and that’s what ruined his character for me. And the MC’s character too. I’m also just not a second chance girlie, rarely if ever. But I’m this case the reason as to why you even needed a second chance in the first place was so stupid and avoidable that it shouldn’t have happened. And yes I get you were a hormonal teen…but like cmon dude. Common sense tells you to not do what u did. You had your shot now kindly F off :) The setting was cute tho! There was too much going on which in some cases it strengthens the general plot but for me it clashed. The breakdowns and talks some of the characters had were really the only parts I was genuinely interested in. For an almost DNF I’m giving it 1 star bc I really didn’t enjoy it enough for 2.
