I loved the Maine setting. Opening this book was like being transported to the coast, complete with rocky shores and lobster dinners. The children’s point of view chapters were really enjoyable, especially Abigail’s letters to her dad. However, the
decision to give ALL of the emergency fund money to Kristie was absolutely ridiculous. And Louisa explains it by saying that she’s always had a financial safety net and it’s time for her and Steven to be each other’s safety nets??
It was a weird way to end the book.
