Normal People by Sally Rooney
5.0
i absolutely adore the writing style: it’s so unique, so intriguing, and i can honestly forgive the lack of speech marks.
connell and marianne felt so raw and real like they’re were real people, i can imagine them so vividly in my mind, relate to them so honestly.
idk why i didn’t read this book sooner but gosh i wish i did because this is almost certainly one of my favourite books.
this book reads like ‘portrait of a lady on fire’ watches (is that the phrase???); it’s sort of detached yet so intense and personal
