Bedtime for Mommy by Amy Krouse Rosenthal

4.0

I'm beginning to see that author [a:Amy Krouse Rosenthal|21674|Amy Krouse Rosenthal|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/authors/1220138789p2/21674.jpg] has got something. I gradually came to [b:Duck! Rabbit!|6124878|Duck! Well, I was sold on [b:Bedtime|7456874|Bedtime for Mommy|Amy Krouse Rosenthal|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1312062702s/7456874.jpg|7091892] within the first two page spreads. Oh, so true! My son was a little perplexed at first, something did not seem right to him, and he started arguing with me on the bath page: "but, these are not bath toys!?!". Then a broad smile began spreading over his face as he watched the little girl pick out clothes for mommy and he started reveling in this role reversal, anticipating and winking at all the familiar tricks mommy was pulling to stall her bedtime. This is a fun read, and it invites discussion. The illustrations are great, spot on, tender and humorous. Next in line now are [b:Little Pea|507402|Little Pea|Amy Krouse Rosenthal|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1348556860s/507402.jpg|495427] and [b:Yes Day!|5197598|Yes Day!|Amy Krouse Rosenthal|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1347754913s/5197598.jpg|5264740] ...
