The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

5.0

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. This book is a masterpiece. I could barely put it down. It's SO emotional and heavy but it is beautifully written. It was really hard to read about what life was like in Nazi-occupied France during WWII and it will certainly be with me for a long time. I was in tears through the last 100-150 pages.

Be warned - there are a lot of very heavy and difficult parts in this book. If you are concerned about that, please read the trigger warnings before you pick this book up. You can just google the title of a book and add "trigger warnings" and there will be sites that can share that information. I won't share the specific warnings here because it can be a bit of a spoiler but please feel free to look them up or ask me about them.
