Celebrations and Confetti At Cedarwood Lodge by Rebecca Raisin

3.0

After reading “Rosie’s Traveling Tea Shop” by this same author I was ready to dive into more of her magic.

Weeelllp, this one was nice. It was interesting. But it didn’t WOW! me the way Rosie did.

While I liked Clio and Kai and Micah and Isla, I didn’t Love them. I didn’t connect with them. Her return to her hometown to buy the abandoned lodge after a serious mistake in NYC was nice. The team of friends that she gathered around her to make her lodge dreams happen we’re all nice. But nice wasn’t enough to make me fall in love with them and care about them.

Clio’s mom has a secret that centers around the lodge she just bought. It’s a great and terrible secret because every time the lodge is mentioned she goes into meltdown. Yeah I want to know what the secret is, but do I really have to read two more books like this one to find out? Do I reallllly want to do that to myself?

I’ll give it some serious thought.
