So I’ll start off by saying I am NOT a 50 shades fan. So when I was told this book was 50 shades ISH I was concerned. But I actually really ended up like it! It was still dominatrix y but way less kinky / more like typical MQ sex scenes just with asking for submission first.
I felt like his chemistry was better with the side character Kace and Goldie than Goldie and Jett. But Goldie is turned on by anything that moves so it was hard for me to feel chemistry on her end very well at all. I also found myself MUCH more attracted to Kace. I was secretly hoping he would become the main character even though I knew it wouldn’t happen. I’m curious to see how things play out with him going forward.
I loved the New Orleans setting especially since I’ve been there so I could picture everything well!
The only thing that REALLY bugged me was the pet names. Kitten is STUPID AF and “little one” sounds like you are talking to a child.
