The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge by Eugene Yelchin, M.T. Anderson

4.0

It’s a lovely story about culture clashes and perceptions framed in about the most fun way possible. It’s easy to read, and while it isn’t especially deep or moving, the premise is engaging and the way it unfolds is fun.

Neither of the characters are particularly lovable, but I cared what was going to happen with them and how they explored elements about how they became what they are.

The art is gorgeous and the story is presented with a twist as illustrations tell their their own story rather that just define the text.

It’s a fast, fun diversion.
