The Depositions: New and Selected Essays on Being and Ceasing to Be by Thomas Lynch

2.0

Lynch's storytelling is frustrating in its demeaning tone. The author emits a disdain for his lovers, children, the entirety of the female sex, and his readers of this book. Through grandiose accounts of worldly travels as a lauded poet, yet with a disingenuine-depractive bite, any consumer of these essays will be able see through his thinly-veiled metaphors and misapplied vignettes. I am sorry that I read this collection of essays, and I hope that others don't suffer the same.
