New Texas Mail Order Omega by Tabatha Austin

4.0

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an intense story. For seemingly taking place in the future the people around Thomas seem to have a very backward view of sexuality and I’m not sure how he could stand to stay there even when he was taking care of his sister. Helian hasn’t figured out how to control his alpha urges and without any of the Femeni to help balance himself he just continues to get into trouble.

The planet he ends up on is New Texas and is set up to be like the Old West which is quite interesting considering the Volardi are not used to doing all the work or being without the crazy amount of technology they have. Helian and Thomas are great for each other. Thomas is the obedient Omega that most of the alpha or Soturi expect but it’s just what Helian needs.

They both stand by each other when they are targeted by others jealous of their bond. The one thing Thomas needs is his sister’s approval and blessing and while she misses him is gladder that he has found the happiness that he didn’t back home. We didn’t see much of Helian’s interactions with his family but you could see that he isn’t happy that he upset them but don’t know their feelings about his situation. I will probably read the other stories in the series at some point.
