This book is just a delight.  One of those instances where the second book is even better than the first, because you’ve fallen in love with the characters and can’t wait to spend more time with them.  Even the new characters that were introduced were fantastic.  Definitely more violence in this book, but not in a gory, unnecessary way.  We have so much to learn from the elderly, and this book covers so many meaningful topics: the importance of pushing through seasons of loneliness, getting back on the horse after traumatic events, never judging a book by its cover, and the importance of taking the terrifying jump and saying “I love you”.  Sometimes life is not fair, but you have to let people love you to make life worth living.
