A must read if you're a fan of the series, but in my opinion there is too much time devoted to the Lord John/William storyline. The pacing is sluggish when it comes to those two characters. More time should have been spent with Jamie and Claire, as well as the storyline involving Ian. The ending seems too quick, with several important events being just glossed over. I am not a fan of cliffhangers when it comes to this series.
