You start off by thinking this is a lovely mystery book about two 12-year-olds, Miv and Sharon, trying to catch the Yorkshire ripper with their list of suspicious things.
But this books offers so much more than that. I loved the character development and their relationships with one another. I loved that Miv and Sharon brought people together. I enjoyed the mysteriousness too and the comedy woven throughout.
I wasn't expecting to bawl my eyes out at the end, but whilst the ending is extremely sad, it is also very heartwarming, too.
It's like a hug in a book!
