The last entry is a bit of a let down. The plot suffers from the newfound fast travel ability of everyone, and the size of the different warbands makes little sense at the end.

Corban is even blander than in the previous books, and a lot of characters turn into caricatures (Lykos most of all). It's still relatively fun, as an example of a book who is taking its tropes very seriously, but by the last 20 chapters I was looking forward to it being over. Maquin and Camlin are definitely the redeeming characters in this book.

The choice of POV characters is baffling too. Haelan is one, but Edana isn't? Why?
