This series really ran into some pacing issues for me as it went on. This last book felt way too long, and for very few good reasons. I still liked the MC’s, and was glad to finish out their stories, but I think some of this could’ve been edited down. There was a whole lot of (pretty decent) spice. Definitely way more than any of the other books, but the group nicknames continued to feel absolutely cringe.
This book also felt much darker, and more graphic than the rest of the series. The FMC goes through some really upsettingtorture/sexual violence on page at the beginning of the book, so be sure to check your trigger warnings.
