Crooked House by Peter Menadue

It's not a very long book but it's a very enjoyable one. Set in Canberra, the capital of Australia, and known as the Bush Capital, this follows a political press reporter, Raul Ryder, who uncovers a story too big to be published. It involves politics, murder, corruption, big business and power. I really enjoyed this, perhaps because I come from Canberra.

Highly recommend.
