This book was built to be a summer read- easy and light. I loved the magical, small town feel and the centering around female friendships. This book would be *perfect* if you cut out the love interest entirely. My god he was horrible. Just a misogynistic butthole that could not handle being kind to a woman who has been abused. Ugh- truly hated him.
