The Addictive Brain by Thad A. Polk

5.0

A great little listen regarding what makes an addictive brain. Ranging from how various psychoactive drugs hijack reward receptors, how natural pesticides created by plants to ward off insects are used in consumption by humans (caffeine, nicotine, cocaine). It was also interested to dive into how people are more susceptible than other.

When you gain a better understanding on what these varying substances do to the brain, you have an better understanding of how you can tackle it and how you perceive others that suffer under its effects.
