I really enjoyed this book.. though I didn't look much into it before I read it, I had seen it mentioned on a review so I was maybe a little devistated when I got to the end and realised the second book of the series hadn't been published yet... I may have also looked it up multiple times a week to see if there was a release date for a while and I'm happy to see that there is one now so I'll calm myself and breathe.
It has that little bit of forbidden love that I enjoy, the characters are nicely fleshed out and the world building was done well. It was one of those books that I couldn't put down and I read it in a day.
Also nice to see that Melissa Blair is Canadian, seems like I don't come accross enough canadian writers in my fantasy adventures so it makes me happy. Great new writer, hope she writes many more books to come.
