My goodness!! I didn’t know what I expected but this book exceeded every expectation I had. The all powerful and ominous Kyoshi we knew from the show was developed was well in the origin story. Her pain, her strength, her growth, her stability in the face of chaos is just perfect. I loved the characters, the dynamics and the adventure that allowed us to follow her growth both as a bender and as the Avatar. Unbelievable novel, loved every bit of it.
