Survive the Night by Riley Sager
2.0
No one behaves like an actual person in this crap book. Charlie is a female character obviously written by a man who think women are weak idiots. The fact she marries the dude who torments her in the first half is absolutely my best example. Almost every action Charlie takes makes her out to be the dumbest person, even without her ridiculous made up movie visions. It’s almost like Sager wrote an ending that shows the whole thing was the crappy, Hollywood version of the story because he knew the book was a crappy, Hollywood version of a story. It was page turning enough to earn higher than one star but every twist was so utterly predictable and ridiculous that it barely squeaked a 2.
