Cerulean Sins by Laurell K. Hamilton

This book was entertaining, but not good. You keep reading more because you can't look away than because you actually care about any of the characters; like the train wreck of vampire books. Around all of the awkwardly gratuitous sex scenes it was hard to figure out what the conflict part of the plot was supposed to be, but that finally surfaced about two thirds of the way through, and almost even made sense when it did. And how exactly does an author become worse at writing over the years, because I swear the earlier books had a much less choppy/confusing writing style... Even though I'm no longer enjoying the series the way I did with the first half dozen books, I'll probably continue reading out of shear morbid curiosity :P
