Camp Slaughter by Sergio Gomez

I finally understand what people mean when they say a book is poorly written. Dear LORD there were so many characters (poorly written, too. The female characters were there for nothing but sexualization for the male characters) and they all lacked depth. None of the characters are memorable to me and I finished the book literally 4 minutes ago. Also frustrating that you have Fred (who is sometimes called fredster and other nicknames) and fletcher, it made it even more confusing to keep track of.

The concept was good but the execution was lacking. The “documentary” characters/side plot felt so out of place and unnecessary. The killer’s POV was interesting but so weird & not in a good way.

I don’t even know, this book felt so all over the place and with the writing being so terrible (at times- many times) I can’t bring myself to rate it any higher than this. It was definitely interesting and gory though.
