Body Double, by Tess Gerritsen

4.0

My first Rizzoli/Isles case - I will be definitely seeking out more. This case opens with Dr. Isles coming home to a crime scene. The crime - the death of a woman who looks just like her. As the story progresses we meet Dr. Isles birth mother - a convicted killer and soon come to realize - perhaps a serial killer. Dr. Isles must come to terms with her own history and ponder the concepts of nature/nurture.

The one thing that was a little disturbing for me was how graphic some of the death scenes were - definitely not a book to read immediately after eating.
