Sure, I'll Join Your Cult: A Memoir of Mental Illness and the Quest to Belong Anywhere by Maria Bamford

5.0

If you’ve seen Maria’s stand up or show and LIKED IT you’ll like this book. It’s uproarious at times and heartbreaking at others. She takes us through her highest highs and lowest lows and shares all the “secret” societies shes been a part of while navigating some serious mental health crises and the death of her mother and beloved God-pug.

She bounces around and makes it seem like you are at the desk with her writing, she uses A LOT OF CAPITAL LETTERS FOR EMPHASIS. She uses emojis and has recipes. What more could you want??

She’s just a stupid pig-lady who is taking one day at a time and I love that for her.
