Ruin and Roses by Deanna Ortega

Did not finish book. Stopped at 68%.

I thought I was too high at first but it turns out this book just needs an editor. Not only did the sentence structure and word voice not make sense, but the story felt like we were missing entire chapters; it would suddenly jump from one place/mood/activity to another without explanation. Additionally, the world building, character development, and overall plot was quite simply, subpar. Many favorite tropes were thrown in, but there was no connection, no flow.
