Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot by Mikki Kendall

Did not finish book. Stopped at 64%.
I just found myself disengaged with the book. Not a bad book, I’m just not in it. & quite honestly white women should be the ones reading this. I was a women studies minor & studies social work. I am by all means not saying that I’m an expert in these topics or know it all bc I most certainly don’t but some of these topics are not new to me & I just no longer want to learn - consider me jaded if you must but I’d rather want to read to escape not to feel like damn why is nothing freaking changing. I also know that’s a privilege to be able to remove myself from such topics but that’s the privilege I’m choosing to exercise.
