This was my second time reading this one and I feel like we got to know the character nuances so much better in this installment. Not only did we find out more about the main characters, there was more info about the secondary characters as well. I loved how much James and Cordelia's relationship has changed and there were some sweet and tender moments that I enjoyed so much. I think the plot got really interesting here base on everything that happened in book one. I wish there had been more communication, but I also get why there wasn't. Cassie Clare also lives for a slow burn and I can't wait to see how that evolves in book three. There's such a comfort factor to reading these books and I loved being back in this world.
