There's More?

I'll be honest, even with a few loose ends, this story feels complete as you read it's final lines. I'm actually a little nervous about a sequel because I don't want it to become a story that drags until you hate the characters you loved in the first story. The love story here is unconventional, yes and there's a lot of sex, but there's something beautiful about the way it's composed and the characters it's composed of. These characters are so broken that they're at points in their lives where sex is all they're capable of giving. It's that ugly part of grief where all you want to do is forget and sex is a logical poison for that because it keeps you in the moment. For different reasons and from different pain, each of these characters is there. I don't buy love, but I definitely buy attachment to another person that can give you a respite from the pain. The story is dark and gritty, and admittedly there are a few typos I'd love to fix, but it's one of those stories that's beautiful because of its darkness, not in spite of it.
