I really wanted to love this in a 6 out of 5 stars way, but ultimately this is a like 4.5/5 rounded up.

This book is absolutely weird in a way that extremely scratches the weird-book itch. This book feels very Nabokov and David Foster Wallace adjacent, in the surreal handling of the plot and use of language. This book felt extremely close to being a favorite but all the vignettes were better than the overall plot.

I absolutely want to read more by this author and hope more of her work is translated into English.
