The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee

4.0

There were really only a few options as to who fell from the thousandth floor: Avery, Leda, Eris, or Rylin. Towards the end of the book, I had two top contenders for the title of pavement splatter. But ultimately, there was a twist and I was wrong.

I first saw this book while shopping at Target for a 14-year-old foster child who listed "fiction book" in her wishlist. I didn't get her this, but got her the Peculiar Children one instead, since the movie just came out and it looked less scandalous. I, however, wanted this. So I got the audiobook.

And I listened to it during work, while knitting, before bed, while showering, and while getting ready for work. It is truly gripping, in a Gossip Girl / Pretty Little Liars sort of way. If you're into those shows, you'll like this. If not, try it anyway. Everyone has secrets, they all run in the same small circle, even though there are millions of people living in the tower, everyone schemes, and everything comes to a head in the end.

I can't wait for the sequel.
