This book does consent really well, but the long term solutions that the characters have to problems really miss the point. Like the solution to PTSD and SA in veterans is moving existing counselors to a smaller town. And the main character wants to give away her money but

She just stays in charge of deciding how it's all spent, and is using it all on her home town. It's a lot of charity and not a lot of giving.
