This was a good finish. I will say the first one was the best, and the second one was the worst. But the way Beck develops in Ambush was AMAZING. Even just that made the third book way worth reading.
Now, I"m not usually fond of repetitive stories, and lots of people were saying this series was really repetitive. I must say, it wasn't that bad. The third one was kinda like the second one, as in, it had the same characters with the same flaws and the same weaknesses. But the stakes were raised, for one, and the character development made everything different. It answered all my questions, and while Kate was kinda annoying and stupid, it ended the 'like' story well.
It was middle grade fiction--Not always my favorite. But this one.... Worth it.
