Forever, Jack: eversea book two by Natasha Boyd

2.0

A warning: this book must be read with the previous book.
This book is so unnecessary. It is basically the conclusion of the previous book dragged out to a full length novel. The previous book was cut of abruptly in a sort of cliffhanger that didn't leave me with any kind of satisfaction. This book does end in a more satisfactory way as this is the wrap up. However, both books were filled with unnecessary scenes and dialogue that could have been cut to combine these into a standalone novel. This book doesn't have enough substance to really warrant the page count and being put out as a novel of its own. To me it only felt like a way to screw me out of my money.
The saving grace is that this is the kind of book that I like and I mostly enjoyed it.
