The Queen's Assassin by Melissa de la Cruz
2.0
I feel like I have listened to books like this before and have to say I didnt really enjoy it.
It is like you are listening to it out of the book and you arent in the book. Very hard to explain, but it felt like I was a third party. Example of what I mean. The sentence would read, Cal would enter the room and ask Shadow how she is doing. Instead of saying I entered the room and asked Shadow "how are you" (hard to explain!) I mean the star of the chapter say (Cal) so we know it is him..... I like books where I fee like I am part of the book and not outside looking in.
Yes this was YA, but it felt really young, there was no spice and I didnt feel the build in the romance.
Sadly I wont listen to the next book in this series.
