Dictionary of the Khazars (M) by Milorad Pavić

Did not finish book.

I read about 40% of the book, then lost patience. I just did not understand what the book was trying to tell me, jumping from one story to another, from a character to another, just going on and on. Also, the lazy approach to historical detail annoyed me (I mean the Khazars were a semi-nomadic tribe, but the narration feels like concerning a fully developed urban culture).
