Man, I love, love, LOVED season 2! And I was so close to giving it 5 stars!

This season was absolutely brilliant!
The crescendo and climax of events was done so well and had me on the edge of my seat, and Rachel did such a great job in bringing many of the characters storylines together and having them intersect. And the almost ''politcal intrigue'' was amazing! As well as the development of Hades and Persephones relationship.

Of course the art style was once again absolutely beautiful and the panel structures and colouring was fantastic. However, I had one problem with this season, and that was the ending.

There was a brillaint point in the season where the
court case came to end and a decision was made
and it was the perfect place to end the season. It was a bit of a cliffhanger and brought the suspense and nail biting events to a perfect, round end but then, it went on..
And from that point onwards, the pacing felt off and when the season did finally end, it almost felt drawn out even though the events that were unfolding were important and interesting. And unfortunately I was not dying to start the new season. At the point I mentioned above, I was dying to know what happened next and would have loved for that to be unpacked in the next season but having the jump in time and those events unfolding straight afterwards, just felt a little weird?

So unfortunately that's what I didn't enjoy about this season, and resulted in me giving it a lower rating than season 1, even though I enjoyed most of this season much more.

Look, I might be getting ahead of myself. I don't know the Greek mythology lore surrounding Hades and Persephone's story that well, and perhaphs there is a lot more to unpack which will make sense in the next season, and I might have a different view and perspective of this season after reading season 3, however, I still felt a little let down by the ending.

That being said, I am still looking forward to seeing what Rachel will do with the final season, and I am excited to be proven wrong with the plot and pace choices.

Still highly recommend this series, it is wonderful!
