Thumbs up from me--gives a decent crash course on 'how to gay', which is all it sets out to do. Not much I didn't really know--it's really more of a beginner's guide, but it did give me a little extra info.
Despite briefly mentioning aromanticism, I do find the part at the end of Chapter 9, with all its 'love = better than just sex' stuff a touch amatonormative. I think the edits and updates needed another pass for it to really shine, and it feels like there's probably better books for its audience, but I don't think it's like... actively harmful or anything? A couple weird lines about trans people (which I am willing to forgive since the author is also trans,) and generally could have done with a little *extra* expansion in regards to nonbinary identities (I read the revised version but it still felt like an afterthought.)
