The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

5.0

My primary fear in picking this book up was that it would be much more "old" than it actually was (considering I didn't before read anything pre-70s) but, perhaps with it being a timeless fantasy, it didn't seem to be even a year out of place. I loved Tolkien's writing and he seems to take you along for the adventure with the titular Hobbit. Can now see why it is considered a timeless classic and can't wait to start on The Lord of the Rings next.

(P.S. I'm a Potter kid, and don't think they can be compared, if that answers anybody's questions).
