Spoileressentially a retelling of The Talented Mr. Ripley, except in reverse order - time moves backwards to get at the core of who the main character has always been, which hasn't changed. i enjoyed it and liked that it allowed for such a messed up woman main character <3 some of its takes on womanhood felt kind of tepid, almost like it didn't go very far with the ideas of feminism that it set up early on, but it did get at something with "women should rip and tear and kill". well done, especially the unreliable narration. chef's kiss
