The Grace Year is a dark, thought-inspiring book that tells the story of the life and experiences of women under an extreme patriarchy. It has tropes of forbidden love and is a Hunger Games meets Handmaid's Tale experience. I finished the entire book in less than 24 hours, and it left me wanting more with each page.
Graphic: Death, Misogyny, Torture, Violence, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Confinement and Excrement
Minor: Animal death, Infertility, and Toxic friendship
